2018 Chrysler Pacifica: State Of The Art Minivan For Today’s Families

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica is the latest edition of Chrysler’s all-new minivan, which was first introduced as a 2017 model and replaced the Town and Country. The 2018 Pacifica represents the state of the minivan art in terms of roominess, space utilization, technology, safety, and fuel efficiency. It is available as both a traditional gasoline-powered version and a plug-in hybrid version. The Pacifica has received many awards, including North American Utility of the Year in 2017.

What’s New On The 2018 Pacifica

All 2018 Chrysler Pacifica models feature the SafetyTec Group as standard equipment. This includes ParkSense rear park assist with stop, blind spot monitoring and rear cross path detection. A new entry-level model, the Chrysler Pacifica L, has been added to the line. All 2018 Pacificas also receive upgraded Uconnect 4 systems, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all models. There are two new exterior paint colors for 2018: Copper Pearl Coat and Ocean Blue Metallic.

Many 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Models To Choose From

There are nine different models of the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica minivan, six for the gasoline-powered version and three for the plug-in hybrid version: L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, Limited, Hybrid Touring Plus, Hybrid Touring L, and Hybrid Limited.

As Much Interior Space As You Could Want

The 2018 Pacifica is a marvel of space-efficient design. It has a total interior volume of 197.3 cu. ft., with 140.5 cu. ft. of space behind the first row, 87.5 cu. ft. behind the second row, and 32.3 cu. ft. behind the third row.

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica is the only minivan in its class with the Stow ‘n Go seating and storage system. The second row seats slide forward and store in the in-floor bins, giving you open floor space for carrying cargo. With the seats raised, the bins can be used for out-of-the-way storage. Clever!

Would You Like Regular Or Hybrid?

The 2018 Pacifica is the only minivan to give you the option of straight gasoline or gasoline-electric power. The standard Pacifica comes with the 3.6L Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower, driving the front wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid’s primary powerplant is a specially adapted version of the 3.6L Pentastar V6. This advanced system switches seamlessly back and forth from electric to gas as needed. The front wheels are driven through an innovative dual-motor eFlite electrically variable transmission.

With the Pacifica Hybrid, you get a total combined driving range of 566 miles using both electric and gasoline. Efficiency is rated at an estimated 84 MPGe in city driving. Range on electric power only is 33 miles. There’s only one drawback to the Hybrid model – you lose the Stow ‘n Go bins because that’s where the batteries are!

Safety Is Taken Seriously In 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

In addition to eight airbags, the 2018 Pacifica minivan has standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection across the board. A rear view camera is also standard. Additional available driver assistance features include:

  • Lane departure warning plus

  • Parallel and perpendicular park assist

  • Surround view camera

  • Advanced brake assist

  • Forward collision warning plus

  • Rain-sensitive windshield wipers

  • Auto high-beam headlamp control

  • Adaptive cruise control with stop and go

2018 Pacifica Is A Thoroughly Modern, All-Purpose Family Hauler

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica has it all – space, comfort, luxury, convenience, safety, performance, and efficiency. Give it a close look if you are considering a minivan – or even a three-row SUV!
