New Additions To The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado

There will be a new Chevy Trucks 100th Anniversary Edition of the Colorado. This package will be available on the Z71 crew and extended cab versions of the Colorado. It includes a Centennial Blue exterior with matching grille, cool vintage rear bumper and bowtie emblems and graphics, chrome tow hooks, door handles and outside mirrors, plus a spray-in bedliner and special 18” wheels.

An Active Tow feature will be standard on 2018 Chevrolet Colorado pickups with the optional 3.6L V6 and 2.8L Duramax turbo diesel engines. There are also two new colors for the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado: Kinetic Blue and Satin Steel Gray Metallic.

Choose From Five Colorado Trim Levels

The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado is available in five trim levels: Base, Work Truck, LT, Z71, and ZR2. The Colorado is available as an extended cab with a 6' 2" bed, a crew cab with a 5' 2" bed, or a crew cab with a 6' 2" bed.

The pricing structure for the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado begins at $20,995 for the Base, and climbs to $40,995 for the off-road specialist ZR2.

Powerful And Fuel-Efficient Engines For The 2018 Colorado

Three engines are available for the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado. The 2.5L four-cylinder engine provides 200 horsepower and 191 lb.-ft. of torque. A larger 3.6L gasoline engine increases the power level to 308 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque.

If you need to do some serious towing, consider the 2.8L Duramax turbodiesel engine, with its 181 horsepower and awesome 369 lb.-ft. of torque. The turbodiesel gives you mid-size class-leading towing capability of 7,700 lbs. That should be adequate!

If you would like four-wheel drive on your Colorado, it is optional on the Work Truck, LT, and Z71. 4WD is standard on the ZR2.

EPA-estimated fuel economy for the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado is 16 to 22 City MPG and 18 to 30 Highway MPG, based on the engine, transmission, and drive system selected.

Safety First In The 2018 Colorado

The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado comes with six airbags as standard equipment. This includes front driver and passenger air bags, head-curtain side air bags for front and rear outboard passengers, and driver and front outboard passenger seat-mounted side air bags. A rear-vision camera is also standard across the board. StabiliTrak, Chevrolet’s electronic stability control, is standard safety equipment, along with electronic traction control.

Another standard safety feature is Teen Driver mode, which lets you activate customizable vehicle settings to encourage safe driving behavior in younger, inexperienced drivers. It can limit certain vehicle features, prevent certain safety systems from being turned off, and give you information on your teen's driving habits.
