The 2018 Dodge Challenger is a throwback to the muscle-bound “pony cars” of the 1960s and 1970s. It puts a premium on straight-line acceleration, it can be as in-your-face and outrageous as any muscle car from that era, and it is getting old itself.

Let’s say you need a pickup truck, but you don’t want a full-size pickup truck. It should be as tough and capable as a full-size pickup truck, but in a slightly smaller package that’s easy to fit in your garage and park downtown. But it still has to tow, haul a load, and go off-road with enthusiasm. The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado is a mid-size pickup truck that might be just right for your lifestyle.

The 2018 Jaguar F-PACE is Jaguar’s first SUV, a mid-size entry that goes right up against Porsche’s Cayenne. It was introduced to the US market in May of 2016. Like the Cayenne, the F-PACE is the first SUV from a maker of sports cars, and is already its best-selling vehicle. Combining Jaguar’s sex appeal with two-row SUV practicality is a winning formula!

The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is Hyundai’s mid-size two-row SUV. It is the slightly smaller sibling in the Santa Fe family, with the longer plain Santa Fe (not Sport) taking on the duties of the mid-size three-row in the Santa Fe family. A little confusing, but that’s how Hyundai named them.
